Further recognition for our sustainability leadership

The Co-op Group is one of the world’s largest consumer co-operatives, founded on a set of core values and principles describing a better way of doing business. They are a recognized leader in social goals and community-led programs. We are proud to have played a role supporting these goals and programs since our partnership began in 2020 with our industry leading ESG framework.

On 29 September, we were invited to the Co-op Pioneer Awards 2022, having been shortlisted in the Ethics and Sustainability category.

The award ceremony celebrates the efforts of their valued suppliers who are pioneering “a different way of doing business” and who are dedicated to their founding values and principles – driving innovation, action and change.

This year we were honored to have been nominated as Co-op’s only non-food supplier for the Ethics and Sustainability award. Through our intelligent partnerships we have:

• Reengineered printing production processes and products to be more environmentally friendly
• Implemented localized sourcing to reduce carbon emissions
• Overperformed against our own target for carbon reduction – we achieved 18% reduction in years one and two, against a target of 11%

I would like to thank all stakeholders involved in this process, who have championed so many initiatives and positive experiences. I am excited to see the big impact we will continue to make for The Co-op Group!
