Throughout our organization, our dedicated account teams continue to work hard to place HH Global’s industry-leading sustainability program at the core of our intelligent partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands.
We are pleased to announce that this dedication to ESG practices has recently come to fruition with our valued client Bayer. HH Global has not only achieved our carbon reduction target for Bayer but has exceeded it five months ahead of schedule!
Our collective goal was to save 1170 metric tons of carbon and eliminate the use of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) by the end of 2022, in a cost neutral or cost positive way. With a huge 1384 metric tons of carbon saved through the program at the end of July – we are excited to see just how much we can beat the target, by the end of December 2022.
This target was set out as part of our wider HH Global* Bayer sustainability program, which encourages the adoption of six new global sustainability principles.
These principles will help Bayer reach their carbon reduction target of 12.3% by 2029 when ordering marketing print, POS and promo items.
The principles directly align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Science Based targets, set by Bayer, outlined below:
- Use recycled materials
- Use less materials
- Eliminate PVC and reduce plastic
- Reduce waste
- Ensure fair working conditions in the supply chain
- Drive circular end of life management
I would like to acknowledge the significant and continued efforts of many HH Global account teams and individuals who have helped to bring this program to life.
